The Gryphon and the Mock Turtle sat looking across the sea. A small wisp of smoke curled across the orange sky and the Mock Turtle frowned sagely.
“Oh dear.”
“Oh dear.” The old Gryphon echoed sadly. Alice thought it impolite to ask what they were discussing, and sipped her tea.
“We’re dreadfully late.” They chorused, and Alice remembered that the Hatter’s karaoke had started not two whole hours ago!
