The journey so far
The House of Hatter began life in the 1860s as a Coach and Horses inn, and has remained a public house serving the residents of Oxford ever since. The Mad Hatter’s motley crew moved into the premsises in 2012, bringing Oxford it’s first Speakeasy cocktail bar.
Work began in 2021 to extend the building skywards,. The old top floor has been converted to add an extra bedroom, and a new top floor has been added. The roof has been constructed with materials to ensure its aesthetic is sympathethic to the local surroundings. The extension falls short of traversing the entire building’s width; this space is covered in solar panels to aid in sustainability.
The journey has been simple as winning a match of croquet with a flamingo-mallet,; that is to say; we’ve faced our challenges along the way!
The Mad Hatter is thrilled to be able to welcome guests to explore for themselves in the very near future.
Callooh,Callay! Oh frabjous day!

And what is the use of a book without pictures or conversation?
